A DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service check) is a criminal record check carried out by the UK Government for people applying for certain jobs or volunteer roles. It reveals a candidate's criminal history unspent convictions, cautions, warnings and reprimands with the level of detail depending on the type of check carried out.
